A building called the old Burgrave’s house you can see when you reach Jirska Street. You will be captivated by four coats-of- arms(heraldry) of the supreme burgraves that are located above the entrance gateway. They originate from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. These are coats-of-arms of Adam of Wallenstein, Jaroslav Borita of Martinic, John Joseph of Vrtba and Karl Egon of Furstenberg. So, let’s go on.

Another tower, which was together with Daliborka a part of the fortifications of the castle complex, is called Mihulka. It is a cylindrical stone tower that looks out on the northern part of the Prague Castle. The tower’s view to the north reveals below us the steep escarpment of the Deer Moat. A large ball game hall is located in the Royal Garden of the Prague Castle. The building is situated on the south side, just above the slope of the Deer Moat, and it was built in 1567 – 69. The building exists thanks to the architects Boniface Wohlmuth and Ulrike Aostalli de Sala. Originally, a shooting- range was situated at these places. » More »

The Golden Lane is not a place where you could find golden pavements, streets or street illumination. This name is born by a street situated nearby the Prague Castle. But what makes it so much different from the others? It is formed by small houses with beautiful colourful facades which were built into a sort of a mural arch between the New White and Daliborka Towers. We can find it between Hradčany ramparts and the old Supreme Burgrave’s House. The lane originated in the late 16th century. At that time castle gunmen and goldbeaters settled here. The Second Courtyard at the Prague Castle – Have a Peek in Windows of the Largest State Rooms in the Castle. Welcome to the Second Courtyard in the Prague Castle. You can reach this tour point from two directions. First, you can go through the Matthias Gate leading from Hradčanské square. Or second, you can enter through the Imperial Stables accessible from the Royal Garden and the Upper Stag Moat.
