Exhibition showcasing a selection of commercially made Christmas items and historic toys from the 30-year collection of Eva and Ivan Steiger. A beautifully designed exhibition introducing the lesser-known history of Christmas gifts for children. The exhibition also presents the almost 600-year old story of the Christmas tree tradition, history of Advent and the now forgotten traditions. On display: gorgeous Christmas pyramids, nut crackers, wreaths, stars and carillon, unique wooden, pewter, metal, wax, paper, glass and dough ornaments, dozens of lovely toys.
